On behalf of Mercy Ships Denmark, MARPRO Group is looking for an Recruitment Manager for the office in Copenhagen. You will report to the National Director of the company.

Mercy Ships is a global faith-based humanitarian organization that owns and operates the world’s two largest civilian hospital ships. Guided by compassion, we provide free medical care and surgeries to some of the poorest communities in Africa, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or religion—because everyone deserves access to healthcare. Both of our hospital ships are staffed by professional volunteers.
The job
As Recruiter Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting Danish volunteers for Mercy Ships’ two hospital ships, covering both short-term and long-term roles. Your tasks will include identifying and reaching out to potential candidates, evaluating their qualifications, and ensuring they meet the needs of the ships. You will be a central contact point throughout the process, guiding candidates from their initial application to departure and following up after their service.
You will also actively organize recruitment events, attend fairs and meetings, and collaborate with educational institutions, companies, and churches to raise awareness about Mercy Ships. Additionally, you will manage and nurture relationships with former volunteers to keep them engaged in Mercy Ships’ community.
Professional qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years of recruitment experience
- Experience in coordination and administration, with strong attention to detail and documentation.
- Experience from Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
- Familiarity with social media and experience in SoMe strategies.
- Excellent communication skills in Danish and English, both written and verbal
